Meadow’s Poker Room Pongo Promotion
Description:
PONGO is a promotional game for Texas hold’em poker players making such hands as full houses, quads and straight flushes. The Pongo board is setup with 25 squares, containing 5 rows and 5 columns. Each square on the board contains a different predetermined poker hand worth $50 when hit. If a player hits a square that also completes a row or column they will win an additional $100. If a player hits a square that completes a diagonal they will win an additional $200. The last remaining square will be worth an additional $1,000 for completing the board, along with any additional prizes for completing a row, column or diagonal or any combination of. A Pongo board measuring approximately 4 foot by 4 foot will be posted in the poker room. When a qualifying hand occurs, that square is marked as hit and cannot be hit again until the board resets. The Pongo board will reset once all the squares have been hit.
Meadow’s Poker Room Rules and Qualifications:
- 1. Eligible for Texas Hold’em cash games.
- 2. The promotion will run 24-hours daily beginning Thursday September 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm EST.
- 3. The promotion will run indefinitely.
- 4. Management has the right to cancel this promotion at any time.
- 5. A minimum of 5 players must be dealt in the hand.
- 6. Must be a minimum of $10 in the pot.
- 7. Both cards must play in the hand.
- 8. For four of a kind, the player’s hand must contain a pocket pair.
- 9. Prizes are cumulative (hitting a square that also completes a line is $50 + $100 = $150)
- 10. In the event that the same hand is hit simultaneously on different tables the prize will be split evenly.
- 11. All PONGO hits must be verified by a floor person.
- 12. A winning PONGO hand must contain at least 3 board cards and 2 hole cards.

sounds like a way to make the game a lot more competive and build-up some pots. lot of people might stay with a low pocket pair to make the quad. also, liven the tables up a bit.
